My Origin Story

I was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. I relocated to Chicago, Illinois and earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University, and have been a resident of Atlanta, Georgia since the summer of 2015. I’m a social worker by trade, and have spent the bulk of my professional life working in the fields of social service and public health. I am also a left-handed, right-brained Virgo, which automatically qualifies me as a creative in some circles.

The science is still out on the validity of these qualifiers, however I have always taken interest in the aesthetics, form, and functionality of things just as much as I’ve always been interested in helping people identify and meet their basic needs. After years of convincing myself there was no way I could marry my two interests, I was presented with an opportunity - an opportunity eventually revealed that the skills I’d acquired throughout my professional career in social service and public health could be applied to the world of graphic design.

My Design Philosophy

As a UX Designer, I hold the belief that the secret to crafting exceptional experiences lies in keeping the user at the heart of the design process. My goal is to comprehend their requirements, motivations, and actions and use this understanding to guide my design choices. I firmly believe that simplicity is the epitome of elegance and strive to create designs that are visually appealing and effortless to use. I am continually learning and investigating new design techniques, technologies, and tools to remain ahead of the trend and offer the finest experiences for my users.
